We sent the following to our friends/supporters and I wanted to cross post it here. As always, if you’re interested in trying out Twing Data or just talking data please reach out - dan@twingdata.com.

Hey all,

I'm excited to share some major developments at Twing Data over the past few months. We've been working hard to enhance our product and provide even more value to our customers.

Supercharged Performance

We've completely revamped our backend infrastructure to meet the demands of our growing customer base. Some of our clients are running hundreds of thousands of queries against their data warehouses daily, which was pushing our prior system to its limit. We migrated the backend to BigQuery and can now handle virtually any volume thrown our way, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience for all our users. This also gives us a strong foundation to invest in more insightful analysis and recommendations.

Advanced Data Modeling

We're taking our data extraction capabilities to the next level. Our latest features include:

  • Identifying complex query patterns used across multiple query types, helping teams streamline their most complex logic, reduce risk, and boost performance.

  • Surfacing "easy wins" such as highlighting unused columns and tables.

  • Flagging anti-patterns like wildcard selects, which can impact query efficiency.

These enhancements empower our customers to optimize their data operations and make the most of their data.

Democratizing Data Efficiency with Self-Serve

In the age of AI, data is more crucial than ever. We believe that companies of all sizes should have access to tools that help them leverage their data effectively. That's why we've launched a self-serve offering, allowing smaller customers to optimize their data warehouses without the need for extensive resources or expertise.

Looking Ahead

Our goal is to allow analytics and data teams to punch above their weight. We're seeing tremendous success with customers who have smaller teams but big ambitions. In the coming months, we'll be rolling out innovative features designed specifically to amplify the impact of lean analytics teams, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.

We believe in being more than just a diagnostic tool and want to offer both insights and solutions. Our goal is to transform data challenges into opportunities for growth and optimization.

We're incredibly excited about the road ahead and the transformative value we're bringing to our customers. If you know anyone who might benefit from optimizing their data operations with Twing Data, we'd love an introduction.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in Twing Data.

Best regards,

Dan
